Hello everyone, I am just going to say that I am changing my Blog address to Georgiam3.wordpress.com So If you want to leave a comment on my blofg please leave it on my new blog.
Thank you
I was passing through blogs and found this on Megans Blog I figured This would be really col to write a post about so now I’m going to write ten things I have always wanted to do.
1. I have always wanted to go to the moon. I now it sounds strange and impossible, but anything can happen. I always dreamt one day I would be way up in space in my astronaut suit jumping all over the moon.
2. Another thing I always have wanted to do is travel around the world. I have never been out of the north island and have always wanted to go to hawaii, Fiji, Austrailia and much more. I think when i’m older I will go trvaling at least to one of the many places I would like to go.
3.The next thing I would like to do is ride an elephant in India I know it might sound strange, but in every movie I watch lately there is people riding on elephants. Yes I might be scared of them but isn’t that why you dream.
4.I have always wanted to bungy jump off the eifell tower. I am deadly affraid of heights though and would probally never do it and I don’t think they let you do it these days, but if I could I would most deffinatly want to do that.
5. Another thing I have always wanted to do is learn a completly different language like japanese or spanish. I think this would be soooo cool and I would be able to comunicate with japanese students and spanish students.
6. I have always wanted a dog and when I grow up I want to have as many dogs and different animals as I can. I would build a big house with a pet room and take them out for a walk at least twice a day.
7. I would like to play lot’s of different sport. I already play Netball, basketball, tennis, swimming, touch and gymnastics, but I would like to play water polo, water hockey and other interesting different sports.
8. I would like to be in the olympics. I know this is very unlikely and happens to one in a million people, but I still want to try. I play lot’s of sport and know the rules to most of them. So I think I have a little chance at least.
9. I would like to be in the silver ferns and represent the country for it. I would like to play for the magic also because I want to be like Laura Langman and start Netball for the country at a young age.
10. Lastley I want to own my own house. I would like to live by the beach and also in the contry. I think that this is the dream that is most likely to happen when I’m older.
Now that’s the Tenthing I want to do what are yours.
Guess what I got Waipa’s house captain. We found out on Monday at the monday morning assembly that was the first time we knew anything about. Megan in my class also got house captain and we are still really happy. On Monday Mr. Denise stood up the front and announced the house captains. ” Waipa’s house captains are Dalton and Georgia I was so happy I couldn’t stop smiling when people looked at me. Then he called out puniu’s house captain It was Taylor and Megan. She also couldn’t stop smiling. Then they announced the others. After the assembly Mrs Crowe announced that Hayley got class councillor and Megan, Hayley and I were being congratulated all day it was such a great feeling to be a house captain. Now I’m going for head student. Wish me luck!
On boxing day we packed our bags and headed off for Coromandel. It was a 2and a half hour trip and we stopped only once to eat tea at the yachting club. After all the windy road we finally were at our batch. We firstly unpacked and then went to bed. The next day our cousin Tony and his girlfriend Gayle came up and put up there tent. The next day they went fishing and caught 7 fish. Then my other cousins came up. The day after they came up we went for a swim out in the water everyone kept on saying ah there’s a stingray underneath you and everyone would scream except me because i’ve had a stingray underneath me. The next day uncle mac turned up. That night he had music on in his car but it was really old music. We talked about our music, but he wouldn’t let us play it. We got him a beer then he said alright and we put a mix cd on. He said alright now dance we want a show. So we started dancing but couldn’t stop laughing. It then came on to that’s not my name and we were singing too. on the next song uncle Mac came down and showed us how to dance he was doing the wave a weird way. When we had to go to bed he tried to turn on his car and he had a flat battery! A couple days later my uncle john and Jemma came up and we went to Shelly bay which was around a bay and we took the Canoe and the kayak and the dingy. Me and my cousin Jemma went in the Canoe and nearly tipped out but we made it. We then went onto the boat. We were out in the second channel and were fishing peacefully when we saw a whale. Dad was talking on the phone to a client and suddenly a whale surfaced 20 metres from our boat it was very scary. Dad was like I’m watching a whale surface mate! We then caught a john Dorry just as i finished reading the story the Tiddler. We then went into the muscle beds I wanted to follow the whale but I was still scared of it. At the muscle beds we saw my cousins on there boat when we went out they went in so we didn’t know if they caught anything. We were yelling out to them we saw a whale and they were like we saw dolphins and then they said we saw kawhai’s and we said we caught kawhai’s and then they said a gain we saw dolphins and we said we saw a whale we win because you never see whale’s in the ocean. When we were about to go in we wanted to go for a swim so dad took us around to a little bay and we swam there. You could see the bottom of the ocean but you couldn’t touch it there. It was 10 feet deep. Michelle and I kept trying to touch the ground, we jumped and dived but none of us could reach it soon it was time to go because we had to get the boat in and it was past high tide. That night we went over to my Uncle Rays and we showed him Kristen’s john Dory. Dad started talking to uncle rays and scotie and my cousin Kaitlyn, Michelle and I were doing cartwheels, backarchs and one handed cartwheels beside his tent in the camping ground. it was 10:00pm before we went home then we had to go to bed. The next day My cousins went home and Tony came up with my cousin Tamara and Gayle and her kids that afternoon we went on the biscuit. We had Tony’s and ours and I went on ours while Tamara went on the other one. We were screaming for fun and my mum said she could hear it from where she was on the beach. I had three rides and the last one was when we went in Tony started going fast and Tamara started yelling dont, don’t. I was yelling go, Go and Gayle didn’t know which one to tell Tony. Soon we were back to shore and went inside. that night we played cricket and it was a funny game. Scottie came half way through the game to get Stevie because it was dinner time for them, but we kept him and made him play cricket. He got out about three times before he actually hit the ball. Then everybody left. We packed up and set off, soon we were out in the ocean putting down our rods we didn’t catch any fish at all that were keepers so we sent off into shore at Oamaru bay where we put our boat in we went for a swim. We were trying to make a pyramid with Kristen on our shoulders, but it didn’t really work. that night Uncle ray came in and told us that Evelyn had passed away. Everyone started talking about her then. the next day everyone packed up and went home. It was a great time.
The End
On Saturday we had our netball break up for our team the soldiers. It began at 2:30pm and we started off by going to Hamilton for a game of tenpin bowling. In my team was my mum, Taylor, Jessie, Hannah and Me. In the other team was Danielle, Nitchsha, Julie, Rhonda and Kendal. I basically lost in Tenpin bowling, but still came tie with my mum and Jessie. Rhonda won and Hannah came second. We played a few games at tenpin bowling when we had finished bowling then we went to the Hamilton lake to play and the parents walked around it we went on heaps of things and had lots of fun. When . the parents finally came back we decided what movie we wanted and we went and brought pizza. Some people couldn’t stay so we dropped them off then went back to Rhonda’s house. We had chips and strawberries and dip and then went hypo on lemonade. It was really fun. We watched Mama Mia next and did braids in each others hair. The parents were talking and laughing and having having Champagne. We then gave Joan/ my mum her present and then went home. We had to drop off Hannah so we finally got home at Eleven. I was so tired I fell straight asleep.
On Saturday I went to watch my brother cox at Karapiro lake for a regatta, that Te Awamutu rowing club was holding. He didn’t race until 11.00am, but had to be there at 6.00am. All the teams were on the water half an hour before they started and they had to row right down the lake to the starting line then back up when the race started. My dad was in the safety boat and there job was to make sure no boats went off track and that people don’t get hurt when they catch a crab. A crab for your information is not a crab you find and eat, it’s when your oar hits you and you can’t move it. This normally happens when you can’t row as fast as the others. My brother was a cox and he had to sit at the very front of the boat. You couldn’t really see him when he was coxing because the rowers needed there space and his seat was lower into the boat. My brothers job was to stare the boat. He had to pull these strings and make sure the boats didn’t bump into each other. Otherwise it was his fault. At the end of the day Te Awamutu had one first and lots of thirds. We went home before my brother because he had to rig the boats and de rig the boats.
On Tuesday the 14th of October. I went to Kihikihi School to participate in the agricultural day for Kihikihi, Te Awamutu Intermediate, Saint Patricks and Pekerau. It started off at 10.00am and the first competition was the early lambs Most Obedient Pet. Then it was time for late’s most obedient pet and I took out 4th place. I was happy for that and watched the champion ship for MOP. Next up was leading and I went pretty good I was second and came third. The championship continued right afterwards and it was very close. Next was lunch and our lambs were hungry. So were we. After lunch it was Rearing and I came third in that too. I felt my knowledge let me down and made sure that I would look more up on the internet before group day. The next Wednesday the 22nd of October my two sisters and I went to group day. We got there right in time for me to start. First again was MOP and I got no ribbons in that category. Second was Leading and I just missed out on a ribbon for that then we got to feed our lambs. But in the middle of feeding my lamb I had to rush into the ring for rearing. I was quite grumpy because I didn’t have time to Finnish feeding my lamb. I knew more knowledge and ended up coming second. I was really happy at what I came and was really happy with my lamb.
Academic
I will get better at finishing my maths on time
The way I can achieve this is to do it properly and stay on task while doing it.
I will Finnish everything I have to do out of school on time and properly.
The way I can achieve this goal is to get my work done before I think about anything else.
I will talk less in class
I will do this by ignoring my peers when I need to get work done.
Personal
I will get better at my dancing.
i will achieve this by stretching and practising every day.
I will get better at netball.
I will do this by practising hard even when it’s not netball season.
I will get better at my band instrument.
I will do this by practising hard.
Another thing I heard last night was on close Up about bus routes having to change down South near Timaru because of the different schooling area. The story is this For ages kids have been catching there bus outside there driveway and getting a ride to school. This bus they hop on is called the Beaconsfield school bus and goes out every morning. Now there has been made a cut off area because Cammingtonschool doesn’t want the Beaconsfeild bus coming over to there area. So the children either have to be dropped off at school by their parents or go to Cominternschool. Close Up went over to there school and had a talk to Sandi Abel Beaconsfeild principal. She drew a diagram on the board and showed where the cut off points were. it cut off alot of the children from her school to go on the bus. Close Up then talked to Ben Lee the Cammington schools principal. He said that they have 27 children in there school and if they fall behind 25 they can only have one teacher and over 25 they can have two teachers. He also said that those two children matter alot and more children in there would be beneficial, but not in those words. Alot of other schools have already said that beaconsfeilds bus can go into their area to pick up kids and drop kids off, but Cammington school aren’t budging. I personally think this imature of Cammington because it is the parents dicision of where their children go to school and obviously they have chsenBeaconsfeild for whatever. So i thinkthat Cammmignton school should give upand let Beaconsfeilds bus go wherever it needs to go. what do you think
While I was watching the news last night there came up a thing about labour and National. It was said that John key the leader of the Nation party thought that Helen Clark s trying to hard to get votes for her party, well that’s the way I understood it. Helen Clark thought that John Key was wasting his time sending troops off to Iraq and calculated that 60 people have died, but in fact it was only 55 people that had died and if she had calculated properly I think there shouldn’t have been a huge debate over it. We all know that both leaders want to win, but it’s not what they do by helping people and sending people off. it’s that they want to do it for the country not the votes and criticism to each other. well that’s what I think and if I was allowed to vote I wouldn’t vote for any one who’s trying to win for themselves and not our country. What do you think?
